Quarterly news to visitors
American Camp Association
Welcome to the Winter Edition of the ACA Visitors eNews. As we shared in November, we’ll be sending out a "quarterly" eNews to visitors to highlight important topics for a specific timeframe and share information to help you in your role as a visitor. We'd love to hear from you on topics to be included in future issues.

We Want to Hear Your Thoughts!

In November 2017, we shared an initial draft version of the proposed ACA standards and organizations. Based on feedback, additional revisions to some standards have been made. The National Standards Commission has also reviewed the applicability of the current Site/Food Service standards and the Health and Wellness standards for specific audiences. Review and share your comments.

Will You Be in Orlando?

We've said it before and we'll continue to say it — THANK YOU! If you are attending the ACA National Conference in Orlando, please mark your calendar to attend the Accreditation Visitors' THANK YOU Reception (and Recognition). Time: 8:30 p.m. Location: Coronado A. It's a time to celebrate you, laugh, share, and recognize outgoing National Standards Commission members! We hope to see you there.

As you switch gears from using your knowledge of standards in the review of Annual Accreditation Reports to preparing for on-site camp visits, we have a few reminders to get you off the ground. These reminders all center around communication, as it is key when conducting ACA standards visits. Check it out! Reminders for Visitor Communication.
